Homemade Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Prepare the dough

milk Two cups
granulated sugar ½ cup
melted butter ½ cup
flour Four cups
flour One cup
baking powder 1 tbsp.
salt 2 tbsp.

Make filling

light brown sugar ¾ cup
softened butter ¾ cups
grounded cinnamon 2 tbsp.


cream cheese 4 oz.
melted butter 2 tbsp.
milk 4 tbsp.
vanilla 1 tbsp.
powdered sugar 1 cup

Presenting you the homemade recipe for cinnamon rolls. If you are a cinnamon lover, this homemade cinnamon recipe is a pure delight. Here are four simple steps for making your favorite cinnamon rolls.

1. Prepare the dough

You need:

  • Two cups of milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • Yeast
  • Four cups of flour

Heat two cups of milk and pour it in a bowl. Add ½ cup of granulated sugar. Dissolve the sugar in milk and then add ½ a cup of melted butter. Stir them all together. Now add one small packet of yeast and mix and leave for 10 minutes I a warm environment so the yeast can bloom. The cold place can reduce the speed of blooming. Now add four cups of flour. Mix it with a spoon and it will form a wet dough. Now cover with cling foil and leave for an hour to rise.

After one hour, check the dough. If it is doubled kneed it. If not leave for another 30 minutes in a warm place.

Now you need:

  • One cup flour
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. salt

Take the risen dough, add one-cup flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, and 2 tbsp. salt, and start kneading. Knead for 1 minute until dough is super smooth.

2. Make filling

You need:

  • ¾ cup of light brown sugar
  • ¾ cups of softened butter
  • 2 tbsp. grounded cinnamon

Take a bowl and mix ¾ cup of light brown sugar, ¾ cups of soften butter, and 2 tbsp. grounded cinnamon and mix them all together.

You are ready to roll now. Sprinkle some flour over the surface and roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Now spread filling over it and roll it up. Take your time here to have a very even roll. Now cut in slices with help of a knife.

Take pans and butter them. Shift slices into butter tray and leave them to set for 30-45 minutes. After the time has passes bake them at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

3. Frosting

You need:

  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • 4 tbsp. milk
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients into the bowl while leaving powdered sugar. Make sure there are no lumps before adding powdered sugar. After mixing, add sugar in small portions and mix very well.

4. Glazing Cinnamon Rolls

Take cinnamon rolls out of the oven and let them cool for 30 minutes. Now drizzle frosting over them and spread with help of a spoon.
