white sugar 4 cups
lemon juice ¼ cup

Strawberry Jam


  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries
  • 4 cups of white sugar
  • ¼ cup of lemon juice


Take a large bowl and mash the strawberries. Now take a heavy bottom saucepan and mix together mashed strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir over low heat to dissolve sugar. When the sugar is dissolved increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to boil. Stir and boil until the mixture reaches 220F. Cool it and transfer into an airtight jar. Refrigerate for one day and serve.
